Membership rules
Your library card
There are some rules around having a library card -
- you can use your ticket at any Hull Library facility but you must have it with you to borrow items or use the internet
- the library ticket is for the sole use of the individual named on the ticket and is not transferable
- if a ticket is lost or stolen the library member remains responsible for all material borrowed on that ticket until it is reported lost or stolen to the Library Service
- lost, stolen or damaged tickets will be replaced on production of proof of name or address
Withdrawal of Library membership
Library membership may be withdrawn under the following circumstances -
- failure to return library materials when asked
- non-payment of fines or charges
- violation of the Byelaws
- violation of the Acceptable Internet Use Policy
In addition to the withdrawal of library membership, a library customer may also be excluded from library premises if their behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable by the library management.
Membership may be reinstated at the discretion of the library management.
