Returning items

All items that you have borrowed from the library will have a due by date. This is the date that the item is due to be returned.

You can return your items at any local library.

Renewing

If you have not finished with your item, you can renew it. Items can be renewed up to 10 times, as long as no one else has reserved them.

The easiest way to do this is using your library account. Under “My Ticket simply select “Renew materials” then choose individual items or all your items.

You can also renew using your local library, you can visit or telephone them. You will need to provide your library card number which can be found underneath the barcode. If you don’t have your number, we may ask you for your –

  • name
  • date of birth
  • postcode

So we can find you on our system. We will give you a new date to bring them back.

Renewal fees

If you renew an item online or over the phone and there is a cost to borrow it, the cost will be added to your ticket to pay when you bring the item back.
